Weatherization rebates
Save hundreds of dollars when you weatherize your home
Weatherization is the foundation of a home’s energy efficiency. Weatherization prevents the loss of warm or cool air through unseen leaks and seams. It’s an easy, cost-effective way to increase the comfort of your home while saving money and energy.
What you get
The total value of your weatherization rebate depends on how much insulation and sealing your home needs. In order to receive this rebate, you must use a contractor who is a PSE Recommended Energy Professional (REP) or another PSE Trade Ally. Your contractor will deduct the instant rebate amount from your invoice, reducing your out-of-pocket cost.
The total rebate, including any applicable bundle bonus, cannot exceed the pre-tax price of any rebate product.
Weatherization type | Rebate value |
---|---|
Attic insulation | $0.50 to $1.75 per sq ft * |
Wall insulation | $2.50 per sq ft |
Floor insulation | $2.50 per sq ft |
ENERGY STAR® whole house ventilation (PSE electric-heated home only) | $50 per unit |
Prescriptive air sealing (attic and/or floor) | $0.20 per sq ft |
Duct sealing and insulation | Up to $1,000 per home |
Duct sealing only | Up to $550 per home |
Take a whole-home approach and bundle 3 or more weatherization measures, and receive an additional bonus rebate:
Bundle 3+ measures in one project | Up to $350 |
Bundle 4+ measures in one project | Up to $500 |
* The attic insulation rebate amount depends on the type of home and amount of pre-existing insulation.
How you qualify
- You must use a contractor who is a PSE Recommended Energy Professional (REP) or PSE Trade Ally to complete the installation. You may not use an out-of-network contractor or complete the work yourself.
- Applicable rebates are determined and provided to the customer by the PSE-authorized contractor as an instant rebate at the point of sale. PSE does not pay weatherization rebates directly to the customer.
- You must be a current PSE residential electric or PSE natural gas customer and use PSE electricity or PSE natural gas as the primary source of your home's space heating.
You must live in a single-family home (four units or less) or manufactured/mobile home. Single-family new construction, multifamily (five or more attached units) and commercial accounts are not eligible. For rebates for multifamily buildings, apartments or condos, click here.
