As storm recovery continues, we are aware that the Outage Map is not showing some customers who are still without power. Our internal systems for identifying outages and prioritizing restorations are still functioning.

We know it is frustrating for our customers and are working hard to reconcile the outages shown on the map. Please continue to report outages, as needed.

Our crews will continue to work around the clock until the last customer is restored.

November Wind Storm

Customer Updates

Progress continues throughout the day with over 150 crews in the field working to restore power. So far, we’ve restored almost 90 percent of our customers’ power since the onset of the storm.

Now that we’ve completed repairs to nearly all transmission lines and substations, our focus is on the neighborhood distribution lines serving smaller pockets of customers. This repair work is often time-consuming and slow-going, as it requires extensive work yet restores power in much smaller numbers, such as to 5, 10, or 20 customers at a time. We still have nearly 1,000 individual damage points on the system that we’re working to repair, which collectively takes time.

As more and more neighborhoods are energized, some customers may feel like they are being left in the dark. If you’re seeing neighbors with their power on, it’s likely that they’re served by a different circuit that has been restored. Please know we’re working around the clock until all customers are restored.

Safety first. Never touch or go within 35 feet of downed power lines because they might be energized. Call PSE at 1-888-225-5773 or 911 to report problems.

Puget Sound Energy teams up with Seattle Kraken to "Light the Lamp"
The PSE sponsorship program also supports community youth sports organizations

BELLEVUE, Wash. (10/22/2021)

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is announcing a multiyear partnership with Climate Pledge Arena and the Seattle Kraken NHL hockey organization to promote energy efficiency and sustainability across the region. The one-of-a-kind collaboration features the Light the Lamp sponsorship program, supporting local organizations that engage with underserved youth in sports and other physical activities.

The Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena are demonstrating extraordinary efforts toward increasing sustainability, net-zero carbon and energy efficiency—efforts that closely align with PSE’s vision and its work toward achieving a clean energy future.

"We believe that Climate Pledge Arena, the Kraken and their fans, and PSE and our customers all share a desire to work together to create a clean energy future,” said PSE President and CEO Mary Kipp. "We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to help Kraken fans across our region learn more about PSE’s beyond net-zero carbon aspirations, while leveraging the community’s excitement around a new sports team and venue that share our clean energy vision for the region."

As part of the partnership, PSE and the Kraken are teaming up with local non-profits through the Light the Lamp program, which will provide funding to youth organizations to pay for scholarships, registration fees, uniforms, sports equipment and costs related to coaching and training. Eligible organizations include those that provide special programming, scholarships or free and reduced fees for minority and underserved youth and kids with disabilities.

PSE has committed $150,000 to help fund these organization’s programs located within its 10-county service area in Washington. The program will feature a different organization at each home game and will award $1,000 per goal scored by the Kraken, with a minimum contribution of $3,000 per game. PSE will also donate $20,000 to the Kraken’s One Roof Foundation.

Climate Pledge Arena is the first zero-carbon arena in the world, powered exclusively by renewable energy, making it the most progressive, responsible and sustainable arena in the world. Puget Sound Energy’s partnership with Climate Pledge Arena will help strengthen Kraken fans' awareness about ways PSE is helping its customers be more sustainable at their home or business through energy efficiency tips, products and services.

Puget Sound Energy and the Kraken will kick-off the Light the Lamp sponsorship program on Saturday, Oct. 23 during the team’s first home game and grand opening of Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena.
