Carbon Balance offers a flexible and affordable way to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions right here in the Pacific Northwest. Carbon Balance demonstrates a businesses’ commitment not only to the planet but to their customers, employees and other local business leaders already enrolled.

With this program, PSE purchases verified carbon offsets from local forestry projects on behalf of program participants. Carbon Balance participants reduce their business’ environmental impact by supporting projects that reduce or capture greenhouse gas emissions.

  • Support local forestry projects. Participants in Carbon Balance are supporting innovative carbon reduction projects like the Winston Creek Forest Carbon Project in Lewis County.
  • No equipment installation or contracts. There’s no contract, installation or equipment needed to match all or a portion of your business’ natural gas use with carbon offsets.
