Insulation for commercial buildings

Get a rebate for insulation upgrades

Poorly insulated buildings often cause heating and cooling systems to work overtime to maintain comfortable temperatures. By upgrading your attic/roof and wall insulation, you can create a more comfortable environment for your employees and customers and enjoy long-term savings on your energy bill.

What you get

The total value of your attic/roof and wall insulation rebate depends on how much insulation your business needs. It will be based on the R-value and the total square footage installed. See the table below.

Insulation Type Rebate Value

$1.40 per sq. ft.

Attic/roof insulation (R0 to R48)*

$1.50 per sq. ft.

Wall insulation (R0 to R14)*

Additional information

R-value

The R-value measures how well insulation can prevent heat from moving through it. It is influenced by factors such as insulation material, thickness, and density. The higher the R-value, the more effective the insulation is at reducing heat flow. Consulting with insulation professionals can help determine the appropriate R-value for optimal thermal performance and energy efficiency.

Attic insulation is defined as insulation that is installed in the attic crawl space, typically on a horizontal surface. Roof insulation is defined as insulation that is installed in direct contact with the building’s roof, typically a flat or slightly pitched surface. PSE insulation rebate only applies to attic insulation.
