PSE Recognized for Recruiting and Supporting Veterans

BELLEVUE, Wash. (June 4, 2014) – Puget Sound Energy was named a 2014 Most Valuable Employer (MVE) for Military® by, an organization that specializes in connecting exiting military personnel with civilian careers. This is the fourth time in the six years of the award’s existence in which PSE has been recognized as an employer that recruits military-experienced job seekers and veterans.

“I give big kudos to PSE for their outreach efforts with the military, from creative and proactive recruitment approach to recognition and support of veterans. PSE’s appreciation for the military is not just a show and tell. It’s genuine and it flows from top down and across the organization. I feel fortunate to work for a company that takes the time to highlight military service amidst many other competing priorities,” said Krystal Turney, SPHR, supervisor of Human Resources Operations and former Air Force SSGT, Public Health Technician.

The 2014 Most Valuable Employers (MVE) for Military, presented by Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. was open to all U.S.-based companies. Winners were selected based on surveys in which employers outlined their recruiting, training and retention plans that best serve military service members and veterans. In addition to being recognized in the May issue of Military Transition News, PSE will also be recognized on the website.
