LED Traffic Signal Rebates

As of Dec. 31, 2013, Puget Sound Energy has closed the LED Traffic Signal Rebate Program to new applications. It has been determined through internal and third party reviews that this technology has become standard practice and no longer requires an incentive. Projects submitted prior to the end of 2013 will have until June 30, 2014 to turn in final paperwork on completed projects.

Going forward, PSE will continue to focus on promoting LED technology through its Street Lighting Program. PSE will work with municipalities to provide incentives for this rapidly expanding technology to reduce their energy demand and maintenance costs related to street lighting.

There are currently two special LED Rate Schedules for street lighting to reduce cost by having Intolight own and maintain fixtures.

PSE's LED Street Lighting Program has already brought success to a number of municipalities, including Bonney Lake.

"PSE's LED Street Light Program was instrumental in improving safety in our community while reducing the overall energy use and associated costs for keeping our streets lit. Bonney Lake residents can enjoy better visibility at night without significant impact to the city's bottom line. The incentive from PSE made the switch affordable," says John Woodcock, City of Bonney Lake, City Engineer.

Non-residential, PSE customers who would like to have Intolight install and maintain LED street lights are eligible for this special rate schedule. The electricity to power street lights must be provided by PSE.

PSE reserves the right to inspect installations for compliance prior to payment.
