PSE is an Integral Part of the Kittitas County Community
Over the past five years, PSE has donated more than $250,000 to Kittitas County's charitable organizations — without any cost to rate payers — through our corporate giving program and the Puget Sound Energy Foundation. Members of TeamPSE, our employee volunteer program, donate many hours of personal time and lots of energy to support the Kittitas County community. We've also distributed over $325,000 in energy efficiency grants and rebates to our Kittitas customers.
FISH food banks
We provide financial support to the FISH food banks in Ellensburg and Cle Elum to help them feed low-income households in the region. Additionally, through TeamPSE, our employees collect nonperishable food items for the food banks.
We're an annual supporter of the Clymer Museum's art and outreach programs that support emerging artists and preserve the traditions of western art. Named after one of Ellensburg's own, renowned artist John Ford Clymer, the museum provides exhibits, artist demonstrations, lectures, school field trips and visitor tours. The museum is integral to Kittitas County's cultural heritage and we're proud to be a part of that history.
Economic Development Group of Kittitas
In 2009 we contributed $65,000 to help the Economic Development Group of Kittitas develop a sustainable energy curriculum program to communicate the economic benefit of renewable energy to residents and businesses in the state. The effort was part of a larger goal to further promote the development of new clean-energy resources in the area and stimulate the Kittitas County economy.
Cle Elum-Roslyn School District
With our assistance, the district implemented resource conservation management software. The new energy accounting system enables the district to better track and manage its energy costs. We also helped update the boiler system, allowing them to save even more energy and money.
Other Kittitas County organizations we support
The United Way of Kittitas County, Jazz in the Valley, HopeSource, 4th of July Fireworks in the Park, Rotary Clubs of Ellensburg and Cle Elum, Central Washington University Presidential Speaker Series and Kittitas County Historical Museum, just to name a few.
Energy efficiency grants and rebates
Over the past 5 years we have contributed more than $272,000 in commercial energy efficiency grants and nearly $55,000 in residential rebates to our Kittitas County customers.
