PSE continues support of emerging energy research and education programs
BELLEVUE, Wash. (Aug. 12, 2008) – Puget Sound Energy (PSE) announced today that it has awarded $45,000 to continue to support the energy efficiency efforts of two local nonprofit educational organizations: the Environmental Education Association of Washington (EEAW) in Olympia and Independent Colleges of Washington (ICW) in Seattle.

BELLEVUE, Wash. (Aug. 12, 2008) – An independent study performed by UtiliPoint International, Inc. (UtiliPoint) and released today by Puget Sound Energy (PSE) finds a proposed takeover of PSE’s electric utility business on Whidbey Island would cost the citizens of Whidbey Island more than $130 million and lead to an average 20 percent higher electric rates.

BELLEVUE, Wash. (Aug. 7, 2008) – Puget Sound Energy’s (PSE) Hopkins Ridge Wind Facility continues to build on the success of generating clean, renewable energy with the addition of four new wind turbines. The expansion, which brings the total number of turbines at the Dayton, Columbia County facility to 87, is another step for the utility and the region toward a sustainable energy future.
