5. Bill Statement Codes

Explains the abbreviations listed on the front detail section of your bill under the “Code” heading. These codes identify how PSE has calculated your energy usage. Typically the code “ACTL” will appear indicating that an actual meter reading was taken to determine your consumption. Sometimes an equipment malfunction will require PSE to estimate your energy usage. In this case the code “ESTM” will be noted on your bill. There are also codes for situations that indicate the correction, adjustment or proration of a billing.

7. Late Payment Fee

A late payment fee of 1 percent per month will be applied to past-due billings (10 business days after the due date on the bill). Certain exceptions (detailed here) apply.
