Puget Sound Energy’s Vashon Island Office Adds Energy Advisor to Help Customers Use less Energy and Save Money

PSE Energy Advisor, Wayne Ballew to Answer Energy Efficiency Questions May 5 at Island Home Center & Lumber on Vashon Island

VASHON ISLAND, Wash. (April 20, 2012) – Beginning May 5, Puget Sound Energy will host PSE Energy Advisor, Wayne Ballew at the utility’s Vashon Island Customer Service Office, 18125 Vashon Highway SW, once a month to help customers learn how to use energy more efficiently to save money on their utility bills. Customers can call the Vashon office at 206-463-3688 to schedule an appointment with Ballew for personalized energy efficiency advice.

Ballew will be available to answer customers energy efficiency related questions on May 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Island Home Center & Lumber’s Annual Spring Outdoor Living Event on Vashon Island.

As a local Energy Advisor, Ballew, a resident of Bremerton, represents PSE at local events and fairs to help offer customers personalized energy-efficiency advice on how to lower home energy use to save energy and money.

Ballew, who joined PSE last spring, has previous experience as an energy manager. In that role he managed a network of independent contractors for retrofit energy-efficiency measures and customer billing data. He also was responsible for conducting community outreach program offerings at local public events, energy fairs and workshops. His background includes more than 20 years of experience in the insulation industry. His dedication to customer service and expertise in insulation applications has been valuable to the utility’s commercial and residential customers. He is also a certified HomePrint® Assessment and Energy Performance Score administrator.
